Brief Description of the Project
● Purpose of the Project:
To participate in a project that addresses the importance and meaning of a lodging company located in Busan, Zen Backpackers as conducting missions as a group.

● Activities includes:
Online and offline research on Zen Backpackers and its competitors, discussion, individual or common assignment such as writing report or making PPT slides, and other jobs related to the team project.

- Background
Even though there are lots of different kinds of lodging properties, as a student, we tend to pay attention to only huge hotels with worldwide reputation. Our team would like to focus on relatively small hotel company, Zen Backpackers, which is getting popular among young visitors to Busan, and address its role as an accommodation in a famous tourism destination, Seomyeon.

- Objective
To obtain information about Zen Backpackers in order to see how it plays in the tourism/lodging industry.

- Sub-Objective
1) To meet and talk to a person(Mr. June Park, CEO of Zen Backpackers) from lodging industry
2) To recognize other similar properties(competitors) nearby
3) To contribute to Zen Backpackers by introducing the property on travel-related websites
4) To learn how to work as a group while working with people who have different background
5) To make a presentation in English, which could be challenging for us

● Project Overview
- Total Goal
To research about Zen Backpackers on/offline to complete the report and presentation slides for the final documented report and presentation in class

- Specific Goal and Method
1) To arrange meetings every Tuesday and Wednesday before the class
2) To manage our own online community on Cyworld; it makes the members connected with each other
3) To interview people from our main property, Zen Backpackers and also its competitors in Busan
4) To conduct individual assignment by certain deadlines each time
5) To gather required information using web surfing
6) To interview foreigners who have stayed at Zen Backpackers
