Nowadays one of the Korean social issues is that the divorce rate for elderly couples is growing. The term ‘divorce of elderly’ usually means that a couple divorces after living together for more than twenty-years. According to a news report the number of divorce of elderly has been increased more than eleven-times for twenty years. Also a quarter of the entire divorce is the divorce of elderly. So what’s the reason of this phenomenon? It is that they put up with their marriage until their offspring become adults. And then why do they have to endure their marriage? Maybe there are many reasons but the most decisive one is that they don’t have a healthy relationship as a couple
