mission. When seizure or destruction of the unit objective requires the employment of more than one subordinate unit, the objective is clearly divided into two objectives to delineate responsibility. When the commander deems it necessary to divide his assigned objective, he directs the main attack toward the decisive terrain or positions, and he directs supporting attacks toward objectives which contribute to the overall accomplishment of the assigned mission. The number of objectives selected should be the minimum required to accomplish the mission and facilitate coordination and control.
