There is ongoing territorial dispute between Korea and Japan.
There is a small island between the two countries called Dokdo.
Japan argues that the islands is its territory but it’s not.
The island belongs to Korea. Nonetheless, Japan keeps on arguing that the island belongs to it. This is a major dispute between the two countries.
I found out later why they kept mading a false claim. The news said that there was a terriffic amount of natural resources buried in Tokto.

I remember watching the new on TV about the Korean war.
A major turning point in Korean history is the Korean war.
Back in 1950, a war broke out between the north and the south. The north was backed by the Soviet Union and China while the south was backed by the US.
The war lasted for about 3 years, and more than a million people died or injured during the war , which was nearly 20 % of the entire South Korean population of that time.
Finally, the two sides signed a ceasefire treaty in 1953. But there is still no peace treaty between the North and the South. As a result, Korea is now divided into two sides; North and South Korea.
More recently, there has been some efforts to bring peace on the Korean peninsula.
Among them, there was an inter-Korean summit aimed at North Korea’s denuclearization
Plus, there was a summit between North Korea and the US.
After all, the Korean war had a major impact on the cold war.

Plus, I check the news and the weather forecast.
Also, I have a passion for fishing. Sometimes I used to drive a long distance to a strange place to go fishing
