The Task and Strategy of Urban Tourism Development
The study purpose of this article lies in perceiving the task of the future-oriented urban tourism development and establishing the rational development strategy.
The urban tourism development needs the approach to be able to meet both the view for citizens and that for visitors simultaneously. From this point of view, the task of the urban tourism development is to make use of the effective linkage system of urban tourism resources which are distributed by means of the point and natural resources by means of the area. That is, according to the attribute of distribution the humane tourism resources such as cultural assets as the crucial tourism element for the city must be developed and the 'Linear Type of Campbell Model' can be applied. It is also an important task to activate the city tour by utilizing the tourism system like this linear type.
The green zone with public value, which can make use of the natural green-zone as leisure and tourism resources, must be secured. And there is the task to keep the park ratio for each person, to have to set park facilitiesin good condition, and to have to supply them by expanding park districts according to the number of the urban population.
Bedides, the gradual strategy has to be set up from the way of the enrichment development method into the enlargement development method for the urban tourism development.
The enrichment development method is to make parks and green zones the cultural environment of the city by fortifying facilities in accord with the leisure function for citizens. And it is also to intensify tourism facilities for leisure coincident with the assesibility to the park and the green zone and the function area according to the interior structure of the existing city.
The strategy of enlargement development method must be set up from the point of view to establish the function of the tourism centre by increase in attracting visitors. That is, it must be planned to improve attractive and originated landscape of the city as a general attraction of the city. In other words, it must bring about the investment of an external capital and attract visitors by shaping urban landscape.
Moreover, the strategy to development RBD as the special area for urban tourism must be built up. Tourism information centers, miniaturelands, exhibition centers, theme parks, convention centers, shopping malls, accomodation facilities, and so on in RBD must be established, and if it is possible, the location of waterfront must be sought.
