The Big Adventure
[약속의 땅으로 가는 긴 여행]




They were going to a land of their own, the land God promised.
이스라엘 백성은 하나님이 약속하신 약속의 땅으로 향했어요.

They were going on a long journey;
이스라엘 백성은 긴 여행을 했어요.

a journey through the desert: 사막을 지나,
a journey through the mountains: 산을 지나는,

a long, hard journey.
길고도 험한 여행이었어요.

But God was going with them.
하지만 하나님이 함께 하셨어요.

God would show them the way.
하나님이 그들에게 길을 열어 주셨지요.

At night they put up tents to sleep in.
밤이면 잠자리를 마련하기 위해 천막을 쳤어요.

Next day they took them down again and moved on.
다음날이면 천막을 걷어 다시 여행을 했지요.

They had to find food for the animals.
이스라엘 백성들은 가축의 먹을 거리를 구해야만 했어요.

They had to find water.
먹을 물도 구해야 했답니다.

When they found a good place, they put up their tents again.
적당한 곳을 찾으면 이스라엘 백성들은 다시 천막을 쳤어요.

It was hard to keep moving on.
여행을 계속하기가 너무 힘들었어요.

Soon the food ran out and the people were hungry.
금방 음식은 떨어지고 이스라엘 백성들은 굶주렸어요.

They grumbled at Moses.
그러자 이스라엘 백성들은 모세에게 불평을 했답니다.

We had plenty of food in Egypt.
애굽에서는 먹을 것이 풍부했어.

There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted.
애굽에선 고기가 차려진 식탁에 둘러 앉아 우리가 먹고 싶은 음식을 먹었어요.

But you brought us out into this desert to starve this entire people to death.
그런데 당신은 우리를 굶어 죽게 하기 위해 이곳 사막으로 데리고 왔습니다.
